Headteacher's Welcome | The British School of Tashkent

Headteacher's Welcome

User-added imageWelcome to The British School of Tashkent (BST).  We are one of the leading schools in Uzbekistan, providing an exceptional education to both expat and Uzbek children in Early Years, Primary and Secondary up until Year 10. I am thrilled that you are considering our school for your child and hope that you can see, from the details on our website, that BST is an excellent choice.

Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will have to make. We recognise this and at BST we ensure that every child achieves their potential and more. Through highly enjoyable and engaging learning experiences, pupils acquire the skills and knowledge set out in the English National Curriculum and also develop as their own individuals through a broad range of extra-curricular and enrichment activities.

All of our classroom teachers are UK-qualified and receive up-to-date training to ensure standards are always high. State-of-the-art technologies and a range of rich academic resources are integrated into our curriculum and classrooms to ensure pupils are prepared for the future. Small class sizes and low student to teacher ratio means that students can receive the support they require to make good progress.

As well as academic progress, your child will develop into a responsible global citizen guided by our school’s principles of honesty, integrity, tolerance and respect for others. Pupils are encouraged to be inquisitive and to play a part in their own development, as well as being challenged and given the opportunity to discover their abilities.  We work hard to create an environment where children enjoy learning and feel safe and confident to participate, make mistakes and have fun.

Our school forms part of the British Schools Foundation (BSF), an established family of 10 schools that extend across the world in Asia, South America and Europe. This international network provides regular and frequent opportunities for engaging with the broader BSF family. As a result, our pupils are more likely to develop ambitions and a sense of their own potential that is marked by a broad, global perspective.

It is our firm ambition to ensure pupils who complete their education with us are exceptionally well prepared for the next stage of their education with the solid foundation of a character to succeed in life to match.

I encourage you to come and visit our campus.  I will be extremely pleased to welcome you and look forward to sharing the achievements of our school and children. I know that you will sense the unique atmosphere here and will want your child to become a part of it. For more information or to arrange a tour, you can get in touch with our Admissions department.

With best wishes,
