On Friday 6th April, we held our annual International Day. Children were given the opportunity to dress up in their national costume or wear an outfit that represented their country of origin.
On Sayram Campus, EYFS and Year 1 pupils were able to visit five countries: Uzbekistan, Russian, Scotland, Italy and Germany. Children completed different activities, got their passports stamped and were able to taste a range of national dishes. In assembly, pupils had an outfit parade which allowed them to see everyone's costumes and children sang a song about a country from every continent.
On Kalandar Campus, Year 2 - 6 pupils completed research tasks, ran food festivals and learnt about lots of different countries. In assembly, pupils had an outfit parade which allowed them to see everyone's costumes. As well as this, pupils from Year 2 sang a song in French, Year 3 sang about India and Year 4 sang a Russian song.
It was a wonderful day and we can't wait for British Day on Saturday 9th June!
